Ken Hicks
Kenneth E. Hicks, CPA, is Senior Partner and shareholder in the firm of May & Company, LLP — Certified Public Accountants and Consultants. The firm consults with optometrists in 30 states, assisting with tax planning and preparation, QuickBooks support, and business planning. May & Company was established in 1922 and has offices in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.
Ken holds a CPA designation in Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee and Arkansas. He received a BS degree from Mississippi State University in 1968, and has also received the Series 6, 7, and 63 licensing for financial planning.
Ken has over 30 years of experience in Optometric Practice accounting. He has been a presenter at the AOA’s Optometry’s Meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada, and has spoken at the Optometry Association of Louisiana’s Annual Meeting as well as the Mississippi Optometric Association’s Annual Conference. Ken also publishes a monthly article in Optometry: The Journal of the American Optometric Association.
He holds memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants.
