Neil B. Gailmard, OD, MBA, FAAO is president of Gailmard Consulting, a management firm that specializes in helping optometrists increase productivity and profitability. Dr. Gailmard is also in private practice at Gailmard Eye Center in Munster, Indiana, one of the largest independent optometric practices in the nation.

A highly respected expert in the field of practice management, Gailmard is editor of the popular e-newsletter, Management Tip of the Week, and has published hundreds of articles in professional journals. Dr. Gailmard is a frequent lecturer on management topics at national eye care conventions.

A faculty member at Illinois College of Optometry for 20 years, Dr. Gailmard received the Faculty of the Year Award three times, was awarded the Presidential Medal of Honor in 1999, and won the Alumni Professional Achievement Award in 2001. He served as a Benedict Professor of Practice Management at University of Houston College of Optometry. Gailmard is an advisory board member for the Hayes Center for Practice Excellence at Southern College of Optometry.
